Standard Test Machines

Our Badger equipment line includes a group of standard test systems that are specifically designed to test a wide variety of specimens, as in the case with most rigging shops. Also known as pull testers, test beds or proof testers, these systems are designed modular with your growth in mind. They offer many options including extensions for longer products, actuator displacement measurement, grip accessories, secondary actuators and additional cylinder stroke to name a few. Most of these options can be added at a later date as your business grows and finds new markets to support.

Custom Test Machines

These systems are well suited for manufacturers that will only test a line of similar products which typically involve specific reporting requirements. This can be for quality assurance or process proving. With the flexibility of our software packages, we can offer customized control and data acquisition solutions to suit your exact needs. These systems often require specialized tooling or fixturing for the customer’s product line. We can provide design-build packages for these applications as required. Whether your needs are for high production, fatigue testing the occasional sample or acquiring stress/strain curves, we can provide a custom solution to for your business.

Portable Test Machines

These systems, like the magnet tester pictured to the left, give you the flexibility of being able to take the service to the customer. Portable units are ideal for recertification in larger manufacturing environments. You may find it more cost-effective to take the test system to the gear rather than bringing it your facility. When the machine is not required in the field, simply power it with shore power and put it to work at your facility. We offer portable horizontal and vertical test systems as well as a portable magnet testing system. Horizontal units can be placed in enclosed trailers or atop deck over trailers. Vertical units can be compact enough to fit in your pickup truck.

Tooling

We have a full line of grips including wire rope, webbing and chain grips. The wire rope grips are great solutions for testing the flemish eye fabrication of long wire ropes which would otherwise be a challenge with a shorter machine. We have wire grips available in 1-1/2”, 2” or 2-1/2” assemblies as our standard line and 3” & 4” assemblies as well. We offer wire rope grip inserts as well as a grip insert rack, which is pictured to the left. We’ve also developed the RailGrip for testing smaller wire ropes up to 9/16” diameter. This is a capstan type grip assembly that is made to affix to your existing test bed side rail and allow you to use the smaller axis of the bed. Custom tooling design-build services are also available for existing equipment. If you have a challenging specimen that needs to be tested and need some assistance finding a proper solution, let our team of creative professionals discuss it with you!

Machine Safety and Other Upgrades

We have implemented safety controls on our newest systems to ensure your operator’s safety, but we can also provide you with a solution to secure your existing equipment. These systems can include Safety Cover, Push Button E-Stop, Perimeter Wire E-Stop, Two Hand, Light Curtain, etc. We can also provide safety guarding for older testing machines which can be manually operated or powered using the existing hydraulic power unit or shop air. As for upgrades, we can provide bed extensions for any existing machine, regardless of the manufacturer. If more stroke is needed, give us a call! We can replace a short-stroke cylinder with one that can handle your job with pride. We can add an additional testing axis to achieve lower calibrated limits or increased production on smaller samples. We can also offer an economical hydraulic power unit replacement and include our advanced Accu-Test control systems!

Machine Control / DAQ Upgrades

If you are looking for better machine control and data acquisition capabilities, let discuss the options. We can provide solutions that will turn your existing manually-controlled machine into a state of the art automatic testing system. Set up loading sequences with various ramp controls and timers and even switch between position control to force control. Test35 is a time-tested data acquisition and certificate generating software. It is a tried and true product that provides users years of flawless operation. Test35 works together with the RTE-LCI 3 Indicator to provide a solid DAQ system for any load cell, pressure transducer or any other Wheatstone bridge based transducer. Test35, along with its hardware, is capable of logging a displacement channel simultaneously. It also has relay outputs for discrete control of force/pressure generating devices like a hydraulic directional valve.

LMS Load Cells/Links, Loan Pin Shackles and Running Line Tensiometers

ProofCert is proud to be a distributor of LMS load cells/links. These high-quality compressive load cells allow for a standard capacity from 2Te to 1000Te, with accuracy being more than 1%. The load cell works in conjunction with the LMS-LOG100 Advanced data logging software which provides real-time monitoring for up to 100 load cells simultaneously. These logs can be accessed remotely from any computer, tablet or smart phone, and the data can be easily exported to JSON or CSV formats. We also provide LMS load links as well as loan pins. The load links are designed with standard capacities between 6.56 tons and 500 tons, and the loan pins are designed to support loads between 2 tons and 2000 tons. Both of these items come equipped with a lockable and portable display case. The handheld LMS load cell display provides you with the ability to connect and monitor up to 12 load cells wirelessly.
